Coach Svetlana came to Santa Clara Swim Club from the Republic of Moldova. She has a B.A. in Physical Education from the State University of Physical Training and Sport of the Republic of Moldova. Sveta has been working at SCSC for 11 years and has developed athletes at every level. She has coached numerous Junior Olympics and Far Western Qualifiers. She has 15 years of experience working at Sport Specialized School of Swimming and was a coach at the University of Physical Education and Sport. 

As a coach, she likes to apply maximum effort, knowledge, and experience in her work to achieve the best results in swimming and to continue to positively contribute to the swimming community.

Svetlana is married and has 2 kids, both of whom swam and competed for SCSC.

Coach Sveta’s coaching philosophy is to help kids to succeed in and out of the pool. 

During her free time, Sveta enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, traveling and reading books about the swimming world.
